Build Your Own

Your own installation is three things: a service repository that picks the modules it runs, your data in its database, and the CMS and the storefront pointed at its API.

  1. Quickstart: run the whole platform locally first. You have the backend, the CMS and the storefront on your machine, with demo data.
  2. Module Catalog: see what you can pick. You have the list of modules your service runs.
  3. Your Own Service: fork the service and choose its modules. You have your own backend with its first channel, and the CMS and the storefront pointed at it.
  4. Your Data: turn your own catalog into a data package. You have the CSV files, fixtures and images of your channel, ready to import.
  5. Data Import: load a catalog from CSV files. You have your products, prices and stock in the backend and on the storefront.
  6. Cookbook: start from a measured recipe instead of the whole platform. You have a stack that runs only the modules your site needs.
  7. Build a Module: add what no existing module covers. You have a small Django module that passes make check test.
